Inspired in part, by the song, “Hands” by Jewel, released in the nineties.
The nineties are definitely one of my favorite decades. The cold war was over and the war on terror had yet to begin. It was a period of rising hopes and expectations, that finally, the world might obtain peace. In fact, in a way, it was the first real peace since the first world war began, in 1914.
Unfortunately that peace slipped away; there is plenty of blame to go around. I am forever grateful that I lived in a time when we proved we could live in a state of peace and prosperity. I hope the coming generation gets its chance.
