Some of the items I want to feature in my Visuals postings, are little known works of art by well known artists. Works in styles we usually don’t associate with that artist for one reason or another.
Here is a more representational work by the Dutch-American artist Willem de Kooning, a work I have never seen before, and not typical of what we usually see associated with de Kooning.
In this beautiful work I see the influences of Paul Cezanne, and Henri Matisse, the French artists, with a distinctive touch of whimsy, for good measure!
