Today is an absolutely frigid day in New York, with temperatures below zero and when you factor in the wind chill, some spots may be twenty or thirty below. Amazing! It is almost impossible to do much outdoors; even taking photographs can be painful.

With that said, this artic air creates very clear blue skies, and very pristine air, so photographs you can take are remarkably clear and bright. There is a beauty that comes with coldness, a crispness, a sharper edge.
