On Tuesday, June 21, I took a ride up to Ulster County to visit with my brother, and together we explored some of the historic sites that you often don’t hear about when it comes to New York.

This is the Perrine Covered Bridge, the second oldest covered bridge in New York State, built around 1844. It is no longer opened to traffic but you can walk across it which is a great experience! The bridge crosses the Wallkill River, not too far from Rt 32, about where Esopus meets Rosendale.
