I don’t know about you, but with this prolonged lockdown, I have been having the strangest dreams. Not necessarily scary, but just strange.

Birds are among my closest friends these days. I see them just about everyday, on my daily walks. Flying overhead, hanging out at Reis Pond with their buddies, skiffing along the mighty Hudson River, landing on the docks.

Usually they are with their friends and families, very sociable. Every now and then I will spot one just hanging out, by himself, perched, alone, motionless. In many ways a metaphor for so many of us.
