I love taking rides upstate New York to visit my brother and his wife in Cornwall, NY. Many people around the world don’t realize that New York is a fairly large state and once you get outside the cities, it is mostly rural, with many beautiful spots, perfect for a nature lover like me! This is from a trip we took on New Year’s Eve, a shot along the banks of the Hudson River, just a bit north of West Point. If you gaze downstream, West Point would be just around the last bend.
May all your days in the New Year be as beautiful as this one!
Every now and then, you get very lucky! On so-called Black Friday, I decided to go down to the beautiful park in Oakland, NJ, instead of the stores. It is getting near the end of Fall, and with the last few windy days, many of the leaves are gone. I thought this might be my last chance to see the beautiful NY Fall foliage, surrounding the lake. I took a few preliminary shots and when I got to the lake, I could not believe my eyes! I saw three white moving objects on the far side. I took my time and enjoyed the fresh air and just waited and wandered around the lake to get the best shots I could.
Have a great Sunday!
