     Looking back at the 1970s, through the x-ray lens of time. My inspiration is a scene from Saturday Night Fever, on the dance floor. I always think of the 1970s as the days of the Weimar Republic, US style. The party was exuberant and flamboyant, after all the Vietnam War was finally over; and the inflation was rampart and chaotic. The question always was, would we survive, or go down and collapse, in a blaze of drug-tinged glory? Like the ultimately practical people we are, after a long drawn out debate and conversation, we chose survival.

      Shot with my vintage Canon SD450. These buildings are on the main street in Suffern, NY, and have large glass facades, as you can see. Standing there, on bright days, with a gentle breeze, and watching the sky and clouds roll through these buildings, always creates special moments for me.
