Two friends are sitting on a bench facing a mauve and brown sky with a big yellow plate pasted on it.
They are physically very close, half bare arm, to half bare arm.
One has red hair, one dark black, the hair is longer than a crew cut, down to the neck, but I can’t tell if they are boys or girls or one boy and one girl.
The bench is really like two red cushions like the kind in my living room, they look soft.
There is green and palm scaterred, the green meets the mauve/brown sky. Small circles twirl and roll.
First they are part white and then part brown and then part of both and then one color and then many.
It is very quiet, the sun goes down, I awake.
My arm is outstretched and is green and brown and blue and yellow, multi-colored. I panic and scrub, and scrub to take it off. The colors disappear.
Then I regret my panic.
I wish I had left my arm multi-colored.
