Meeting outside
the all night cafe
the music is playing softly inside
Cars are rushing by
the street lights are dim
and sometimes flickering
These times are uncertain
filled with strife
the war is still raging
protests fill the streets
But at this moment
this is our night
to take a chance
to take it all back

to forget the past
to forget the future
