It was an uncertain time for me. I had to leave my place, I could no longer afford its upkeep, but I did not know when I would have to move. It was like being in limbo, not unpleasant, but uncomfortable, and time, life was passing me by.

One of the things I did every day, that helped me keep my sanity, was my walks, in many cases, morning walks. This photograph was taken on one of those walks. It captures in a very real way the mood I was in during those days.

    This is my illustration for the fabulous song, “Comin’ Back To Me”, by the Jefferson Airplane, recorded quite some time ago. It has just the right combination of blues, folk, and rock, that I totally love, and the haunting voice of Marty Balin accentuates every nuance. I hardy ever hear this song on the radio anymore and I hardly ever hear songs in this genre anymore. I know artists are still making music like this somewhere, I just don’t know where! Music like this may fade in and out of popularity, but it never dies. If anyone knows of a contemporary band, from anywhere, that lives in this vein, please let me know!
